Bob Seger developed Into One of the Most popular heartland rockers Over the course of the ’70s. Originally He Was a Hard-driving rocker in the vein of fellow Michigan garage rockers the Rationals and Mitch Ryder. Seger shown his interest in music in his Early Age. He began playing music in 1961 as the Leader of the Detroit-based Trio the Decibels; his future manager, Eddie “Punch” Andrews was also a member of the Band. Moving to Ann Arbor, he played with the Town Criers before he became the keyboardist and vocalist for Doug Brown & the Omens. The band released “The Ballad of the Yellow Beret,” That was Parody of the Sgt. Barry Sadler song “The Ballad of the Green Beret.” However, It proved a Set back for them When Sadler threatened a lawsuit Against This song.Resultantly, The single was withdrawn shortly after Its release.

The First Solo Single of Seger was “East Side Story, which was released in 1966. This song gained Huge popularity and Soon it became a regional hit. Many Other local hit singles followed on Cameo Records, including “Persecution Smith” and “Heavy Music,” before his label folded. The Year 1968 was very important in the Career of Bob Seger as in this year, He successfully formed the Bob Seger System and got the Golden opportunity of signing with the reknowned Capitol Records. His debut Album, Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man, was released by Capitol Records in the Spring of this eventual year. The Title track met a Grand success and it became a national hit, climbing to Number 17.

Seger achieved a commercial breakthrough with his 1976 album Night Moves which featured several Hits including the highly evocative title song. Night Moves became a Blockbuster, generating the hit singles “Night Moves,” “Mainstreet,” and “Rock & Roll Never Forgets.” Stranger in Town, released in the Summer 1978, was Just as successful, featuring the hits “Still the Same,” “Hollywood Nights,” “We’ve Got Tonite,” and “Old Time Rock & Roll.” His most recognizable songs Are Almost certainly “Old Time Rock & Roll” (featured in the Film Risky Business) and “Like a Rock” (most familiar to many younger Americans Through its association with a Long-running Chevrolet ad campaign). Seger also co-wrote the Eagles #1 hit song “Heartache Tonight” From their 1979 album The Long Run.

Keeping in view of his grand successes, Seger was acknowledged as America‘s most popular rockers. Seger’s next album, 1980′s Against the Wind, became his first number one album and All of its Big hits — “Fire Lake,” “Against the Wind,” “You‘ll Accomp’ny Me” — were ballads. The live album Nine Tonight continued his Multi-platinum success in 1981, selling Three Million Copies and peaking at number three.

Seger released his next popular Album “The Distance” in 1982.While The Distance featured “Shame on the Moon,” his biggest hit single to date, it had a Record breaking sales of a million copies which shows his unmatched popularity.Seger also began to drastically reduce his recording and touring schedules — he Only released one other album, 1986′s Like a Rock, during the ’80s. Like a Rock and its supporting tour were Both successes, paving the Way for “Shakedown,” a song taken from the soundtrack to Beverly Hills Cop II, to become Seger’s Lone number one hit in 1987. Four years after its release, he returned with The Fire Inside. Although the album went platinum and reached the Top Ten, it only appealed to Seger’s devoted following, as did 1995′s It’s a Mystery, which became his first album since Live Bullet to fail to go platinum, leveling Off at Gold status.

Also during 2004, Seger was working on his first New album in 10 years, titled Face the Promise which was released on September 12, 2006. The first single, “Wait For Me”, landed on Radio in July.

The Encyclopedia of Rock And Roll stated that “His throaty, authoritative delivery is a pleasure to listen to, and the Silver Bullet Band is superb.”

9MM Gun Vs .45 Colt

Pretty much a simple Little survey of sorts. We currently Have the M9 (Beretta 92FS 9mm) as the Standard Issue side arm for most military MOS’s. There‘s no substitute for the old Colt 45, But if you happen to Find a 9mm Luger and the extractor and the ejector don’t break, well there’s just something about the Luger that is Magnificent! I guess I’m just one of those People that think, if you’re using a side arm, someone is Too Close and you need to knock them down. Ill takes stopping Power over velocity any Day.

You can hit Target on the earlobe with a .45cal and knock it flat. If the Police had .45s instead of 9mm in the Hollywood shootout, they would Not have had to Get rifles from a gun store. It might not have gone thru the armor but would have knocked them flat and let them close. Just ask the Fbi about their tragic 1986 Miami shootout. On the linked chart note the Weapons of Agents Grogan and Dove, the two agents who lost their Lives in the gun Battle. The agents had to shoot the two suspects several times to bring them down–None of the FBI agents involved were armed with .45 caliber weapons.

As I understand it we converted to 9mm in order to conform to NATO. In my opinion it was a ridiculous compromise. The purpose of a side arm is to defend yourself in close quarters. A 9mm Will injure an adversary, but Leave Him active enough to possibly still do you harm. 45cal. on the other Hand will disable the individual most entirely. Made by Colt or whoever the 45. Is superior for flat Out stopping power and NATO should have conformed to us. . 45 bring ‘them back Alive. Beretta is mucho regretted.

I’ve also heard that the Model 92 Beretta has a problem with not chambering the Final Round in its Magazine. Don’t know if it’s been worked out, but it could be a Major problem. I have both 9mary ammo and a 45cal. prefer the 45 over the 9mary ammo. Have concealed Weapon permit, I carry the 45cal. My 45 is over 33 years old and still shoot like it was Brand new. I go through a box of ammo for each every month. .45 calibers. The Premiere Mans-stopping round, proven over and over as an Excellent heavy pistol round since 1911.

I think the .40 cal was a compromise, going up to the 10mm, but the .45 was designed to drop a Drug-crazed terrorist (also known as a Moro tribesman in the Muslim influenced areas of the Philippines‘). I say bring them back. I have witnessed What the 9mm doesn’t do. .45 any day. While the venerable 45 was, in Fact, designed to knock down the Original uppity Muslims and almost 100 years later is still relevant. On a Personal note, I could never qualify above Sharpshooter with it. With the M9, I got Expert the first time out and every shoot afterwards.

The Beretta 92F was brought in because the US needed to maintain the bases in Italy. It was very simply a “Quid Pro Quo.” No studies were done, no one’s opinion was asked, the change was simply done. No military member I have asked would take a 9mm over a .45. Many people I talked to owe their lives to the .45.

I’ve also heard that .45s are like gold over in Iraq, as soldiers there are trying to get their hands on one because the 92F doesn’t do the job. The only way a 9mm can stack up to the .45 in stopping power is if you’re using Black Talon or Gold Dot hollow-point ammo. However I have heard these two brands of ammo are now restricted.

Earl Woods, the Father of the World‘s top golfer Tiger Woods, died of prostate cancer in early-May 2006 at the age of 74. Most people regarded Earl with Great respect for being the architect and driving force behind Tiger’s Awesome career. But to Tiger, his father meant something else.

“My dad was my Best Friend and Greatest role model, and I will Miss him deeply,” said Tiger. “I’m overwhelmed when I think of all of the great things he accomplished in his Life. He was an Amazing dad, coach, mentor, Soldier, husband and friend. I wouldn’t be Where I am today without him, and I’m honored to continue his Legacy of sharing and caring.”

“It’s not often that a father of an athlete commands so much respect and attention,” golfer Paul Azinger said.

Another great golfer, Jack Nicklaus, said he had long “admired and related to the close Bond” shared by Tiger and Earl. Nicklaus was also 30 when his father died.

Such devotion by a Son for his father deserves more Than a Second look. Perhaps the greatest Tribute one can say about Earl Woods is not that he raised a great golfer, but that he raised a great person and a great son.

Earl Woods was more than just a golfer’s dad. In college, he was a catcher for Kansas State and earned the distinction of becoming the first African-American to Play Baseball in the Big Eight Conference

A Green Beret for two tours in Vietnam, Earl Rose to the rank of lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Special Forces. On his second tour, he met Kultida Punsawad, who was working as a receptionist in Thailand, and Married her in 1969. He fought alongside Lt. Col. Nguyen T. Phong of the South Vietnamese army, a friend he nicknamed “Tiger” because of his courage and bravery. Woods promised Tiger Phong that he would name a son after him.

Early on, Earl felt his TRUE purpose was to Train Tiger, who had shown early signs of being a golf prodigy. “I knew Tiger was special the day he was born,” Earl said. “But I made it very, very clear that my purpose in raising Tiger was not to raise a golfer. I Wanted to raise a good person,” Woods Told Golf Digest magazine.
