I Did A Canon 60d Test That Was Very Revealing

I love the Canon 60 d. It’s probably the most practical Camera I have Ever worked with. This is all about a cool Canon 60d test that Told me the TRUE potential of this camera.

I Wanted to see how low I could go. And how High too. And if this sounds like an addiction it is Only a photographic one.

Low light, and high ISO is what I am Talking about. Now I’ve been a Pro Shooter for Film and TV for over twenty years, and no other camera, for its Price, has impressed me like the 60 d. Why?

Let me explain through my Canon 60d test. What I set out to do is to light my scene with the Smallest light I could find. What light did I use then? I used a cigarette lighter. It was important for me to get a clean Image. How did I get this done. Through a simple process of elimination.

To make a Long Story short I got a dramatically lit scene with a single cigarette lighter at 640 ISO. At 640 I got a clean image. From the darkness my basement appeared a Soon as the lighter was lit.

No other camera I have used can do this. It is very necessary to use a fast lens. Use prime lenses. To get the cleanest image always use prime lenses.

The sensor is Half as important as the lens. It does not matter if you have a Big sensor if your lens is a piece of crap. Do not try and Save money on Glass, it is pointless. Do not buy a Kit lens.

If you go high enough on the 60 d ISO, you will get a noisy image so be careful, know your Limits, or if you have to go Higher get the 5d, which has a bit more Range.

But how high do you really want to go when you can light a scene with a single lighter? It would be nice to have a Full frame camera, but who really needs it, except landscape photographers.

Look at it this way when shooting video the 60 d is still a 35mm film frame Size. I absolutely love the image you get from the 60 d.

If you are using the 60 d as your secondary camera, it is important to do your own test.

Matching Both cameras is important. If you are looking for a film look the 60 d is best adjusted. What you do is turn down the saturation, contrasts, and sharpness to give you a nice flat image that you can Color-Grade later. My Canon 60d review site has some cool 60 d tests.
