Driver Ball Position

PurePoint Golf Instruction – Driver Ball Position – Driver Golf Swing

I often See a Number of amateurs prepare for their driver golf swing by walking up, after they Have teed the ball up, they Just take a step Back and they address it. They grip the golf Club and they address it, and they sort of just plot their feet down wherever they Land, But let me Tell You the proper Way.

This way you’ll be able to Get the ball in the correct position More often Than Not. After you have the golf ball and you’ve gripped it and you have addressed it, then you’ll just look down, take a peek down, and if this golf ball is running towards the left heel, then this is correct.

If you look down and you see the golf ball is a Little Too far forward Off Your left, That‘s too far forward and you’ll probably see that the shoulders Are aimed too far to the left.

On the Other Hand, if you look back down and you think the ball is too far back in your stance When you put this shaft along you, you’ll be aiming way off to the Right.

So, after you’ve addressed the golf ball, All you have to do to get ready for your driver golf swing is bring the shaft up and lay it along your shoulder Line, and it should be going in the direction you want to go with it.

If you get it too far back in your stance at address, you’ll wind up aiming your shoulders too far off to the right.

And if you get it off the left heel, this should be proper for Most People.

Give that a try the next Time Out.

In 1758 Diderot’s friend the Marquis de Croismare became interested in the cause célèbre of a nun who was appealing to be allowed to leave a Paris convent. Less than a year later, in an affectionate attempt to trick his friend, Diderot created this masterpiece – a fictitious set of desperate and pleading letters to the Marquis from a teenage girl forced into the nunnery because she is illegitimate. In these letters, the impressionable and innocent Suzanne Simonin describes the cruelty and abuse she has suffered in an institution poisoned by vicious gossip, intrigues, persecutions and deviance. Considered too subversive during Diderot’s lifetime, The Nun first appeared in print in 1796 following the Revolution. Part gripping novel, part licentious portrayal of sexual fervour and part damning attack on oppressive religious institutions, it remains one of the most utterly original works of the many eighteenth-century.

Writing Help And Morning Pages

Reading Julia Cameron’s “The Sound of Paper” is Like revisiting an Old Friend. For more than fifteen Years, Her morning pages have been my daily writing help, the friend that coaxed me out of Fear and inertia About putting words on paper and like the Nike slogan, urged me to “Just Do It!”

Why is it so difficult to write? Writing is an activity removed From direct experience. Writers have often mourned the loss of words to describe an event and this is probably because rendering What happened in words involves a completely Different set of neural motor skills. Freud in “Civilization and Its Discontent” sees writing as technology; Both he claims act as “prosthetics” to the body, functioning as an appendage or addition. Even the word “prosthetics” is ambivalent, carrying both the Negative connotation of loss or compensation and the positive sense of extension. After all, writing is a later development of the Human Brain and signals not Only the beginning of recorded History but also the evolution of the highly specialized and compartmentalized intelligence in the prefrontal cortex.

In “The Sound of Paper”, Julia Cameron reiterates what She Has so poignantly elaborated in her previous Books–the creative self is buried so Deep in Our psyche, we have to develop ways to let it out. And morning pages, like solitary Walks or runs, done consistently on a daily basis, form the “pivotal tool of a successful creative Life (2).” The difficulty we experience in writing comes from the specialized voice in our head: “We write grudgingly and Under Half steam, resentfully and uphill. ‘Who cares ‘and ‘This is stupid’ are our companion thoughts (25).” It is usual, when the inner voice is struggling to Find a place in the Outer World, that the censor places it under a scalpel. Without the writing help of morning pages, most voices remain unheard.

The easiest form of writing is the trade School Type that disseminates information. The writing that engages our authentic being, our fears and passions is the most difficult to execute. It demands a different kind of writing help– rigorous and open self-acceptance, a visceral catharsis of our “self” on paper and unless we have built a conduit of safe passage for this inner voice, the Water can be treacherous indeed. Many writers have been drowned by voiceless inundation.

The morning pages, like the daily walk or Run, is a means to engage this voice. Writing First Thing in the morning allows you to evade the censor. “Spilling out of bed onto the Page” (as Julia Cameron puts it) helps the writing self side-track the critic. The repetitive nature of the morning pages assures your psyche safe passage on your Journey. Securely ensconced in a routine, it Will spill its guts out–and that’s what you want.

Without this spillage, the daytime writing that you do will Never Quite have that Ring of authenticity that is the Mark of a writer who has Made the plunge Into her instinctual being. Because these morning pages are not meant for public scrutiny, they are your means of internal housekeeping, letting the little Woman (or man) have her say about things in the House. And the more she is allowed her say, the stronger your trust in your gut instinct and the more resilient you are to the opinion of others.

It’s like building a set of muscles with running. On most Days, I do not feel like running. But what I have found is that the simple act of lacing my running Shoes, getting out into the pavement or treadmill, beginning the motion of running will Trigger a visceral engagement that changes the entire experience. More often than not, my best runs have been on days when I least Wanted to run. Had I listened to my head, I would have missed a fabulous engagement with my legs. The head seems always at odds with the body and writing help that works with the body somehow straightens out the head.

Both morning pages and running take time, but as with everything else, an Investment of time and effort is in order for the miraculous to take place. We expect miracles to Fall from the skies, Part of our belief that we should be getting something for nothing. This sense of entitlement is the One of the most debilitating myths of the self help industry. Ask and it will be given–yes–ut we Must also do our share of moving in the right direction.

Writing help like morning pages takes no more than Twenty minutes; you are spilling your guts onto the page, not deliberately crafting words. Running or walking can take up forty minutes or more. Is it too much to ask for an Hour a Day to invest in physical and psychical musculature?

Book Review of CARDINAL MAHONY (Pub. 2007) by Robert Blair Kaiser by mikeguth

This Novel Begins with the transformation of a fictionalized American cardinal after he realizes he has conducted himself more like the Chief executive officer of a Big business rather than as a pastor whose life reflects Christ’s teachings to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, care for the Sick, etc. At the outset, many Readers might feel they could predict the outcome before finishing the novel: the prelate would be treated like a pariah by His fellow bishops and quietly removed from his Post, with a successor appointed who understands the foremost rule of today’s Catholic bishops is to fall in lockstep behind the pope. But the novel has Unexpected twists and turns.

Approximately one-quarter Through the book, the author, a former journalist who Covered the Vatican II council for TIME Magazine, introduced a number of thought-provoking ideas to enhance the laity’s participation in all aspects of the church. As the much beloved good Pope John XXIII once said, â€The Catholic Church is its people,†as distinguished from its hierarchy. In the novel, the priest shortage leads one church in California administered by a nun to have communion services in lieu of a mass. But the nun in this Story does something relatively unique: she invites the small congregation to join her in saying the eucharistic prayer in unison out loud.

When word of these communion services reaches the local bishop and eventually the Vatican, all the conservatives are horrified that this upstart nun is democratizing the mass and letting all the congregation join in feeling they Play a role in consecrating bread and wine into the body and blood of Christ. But a participant at the communion service describes it this way. â€First thing I’d say, we Don’t Call them Masses. Second thing, these are the most devout, solemn liturgies I have Ever seen. When we say the words (of the eucharistic prayer), we say them in the kind of Wonder-filled tones we use when we’re reading our nieces and nephews their bedtime Stories.†Nevertheless the Vatican and America’s conservative bishops get all in a tizzy over the very thought of people saying the same words used by the priest at mass.

The typical Catholic mass in America involves a priest giving a too-Long homily and then making up for Lost time by Racing through the shortest eucharistic prayer for consecration. Because of this time constraint, the Fourth eucharistic prayer, which is the longest of the Four prayers available for consecration, is seldom used. Yet Eucharistic Prayer IV contains the most Beautiful words of all: â€Father, you so loved the world that in the fullness of time you sent your only Son to be our Savior. He Was conceived through the Power of the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, a man like us in all things but sin. To the Poor he proclaimed the good news of salvation, to prisoners, Freedom, and to those in sorrow, joy. In fulfillment of your will he gave himself up to Death; but by rising from the Dead, he Destroyed death and Restored life. And that we might live no longer for ourselves but for Him, he sent the Holy Spirit from you, Father, as his first gift to those who Believe, to Complete his Work on Earth and bring us the fullness of grace.â€

Why NOT let the laity — the congregation — say these beautiful words out loud during mass? For too long, the conservatives running the Church have tried to maintain the Pre-Vatican II notion that the clergy dispense God’s graces and the laity’s job is to seek passively these ministerial graces from clergy †in a process ultimately controlled by the Vatican. Yet, in 1965 towards the End of the Vatican II council, Pope Paul VI noted that the passive nature of the laity had changed. Outside of mass, Vatican II sought to codify and recognize the laity had spiritual gifts equal to (if not greater than) the spiritual gifts of the clergy.

How welcome indeed then are the Scenes depicted in CARDINAL MAHONY, in which the Church in California, and eventually across the Country, rallies Around the renegade nun, Forces the conservative hierarchy to back down, and demands a greater say in the administration of the church and the accountability of its bishops. The novel explains the concept of an autochthonous church †which is 100% Catholic and loyal to the pope, yet retains for itself certain decision-making power. As Kaiser explains, autochthony does not mean autonomy; it means â€Home grown.â€

According to Kaiser, as of 2007, the Vatican recognizes twenty-one autochthonous churches Inside the Catholic Church. These churches include the Melkites in Lebanon, the Maronites, and an Eastern European branch that has maintained Married Catholic priests from its first existence. In Fact, the Roman Catholic Church in Africa and Latin America today already has â€home grown†elements in the prevalence of priests with unofficial companions. â€It’s an open Secret that many Roman Catholic priests — especially in African and Latin American nations — have taken common-Law wives,†wrote Don Lattin in a nationally circulated religious article for the San Francisco Chronicle in 1994.

Reading CARDINAL MAHONY will cause readers to reexamine their faith and what they have been taught about the church since childhood catechism classes. Whether it is greater accountability of diocesan finances or censorship of dissenting views by the Catholic Press, genuine reforms are still needed worldwide in the Roman Catholic Church. Hundreds of Millions of Catholics left the church during the long reign of Pope John Paul II, because they were spiritually unfed. Similarly, the results of polling on religion in America released in late February 2008 by the Pew Foundation showed Roman Catholics were more likely than any other denomination to abandon their faith.

The Roman Catholic Church depicted in CARDINAL MAHONY is so hopeful and inspiring that it comes as a let down when the book is finished, and the Reader has to Return to reality. I recommend all progressive Catholics Read this book, request your local public libraries add it to their collections, and use the book’s themes to discuss whether readers want to play a more active role in the life of the Church.
